What You Need To Know

These are some of the questions we often get from new students. However if the answer to your question isn't here, please email it to me and I'll be happy to answer it.

What is Krav Maga?

Krav Maga means Contact Combat in Hebrew and strives to provide the effective defences against both armed and unarmed attacks. Krav Maga train students to defend themselves using controlled aggression and tactical awareness.

What Gear will I need?

We recommend getting a groin guard as soon as possible but if you don't have one for your first few classes that's fine. Otherwise please come wearing comfortable workout gear and bring a water bottle (if you have other protective gear bring that as well).

I'm a beginner! Are the classes suitable for me?

Absolutely! We welcome students of all levels and experience and would be honoured to help start you on your self-defence journey.

Is Krav Maga difficult to learn?

In short, the answer is no. Anyone can learn Krav Maga. It was developed for the underdog to help the helpless defend themselves against attackers of all shapes and sizes. It's an adaptable system that meets the practitioner at their skill level and helps them build from there.

Do you hold gradings and will I have to participate in them?

Yes we do hold gradings twice a year however they are 100% optional and if you choose not to do them it will not affect what you learn in class.
